SPECIAL PROGRAMS

For the 2’s, 3’s and 4’s classes, we bring the fun and learning to the classroom!

Each Friday we have special music classes with Ms. Mila from Musical Munchkins. These classes focus on musical instruments, movement and music from around the world.

Throughout the school year we have visits from Weinberg Nature Center, Mad Science of Westchester,

Greenburgh Nature Center, Gym on Wheels and Yoga With Ms. Poojah.

These Programs offer a variety of topics such as:

Making Apple Cider, Native American Stories & Animals, Nocturnal Animals, and Planting Seeds with

Weinberg Nature Center.

Seeking Our Five Senses, Digging For Dinosaurs, and Sea Sand & Surf with Mad Science of Westchester.

Animals in Winter & Animals in Spring with The Greenburgh Nature Center.

The 4’s Classes also go on a Field Trip to The Greenburgh Nature Center, where the children observe how maple trees are tapped for syrup and the process that occurs before the syrup is ready for their pancakes.

The Scarsdale Fire Department visits with one of their trucks to teach the children about fire safety.

We also get a yearly visit from a Local Pediatric Dentist who teaches the children about the importance of proper hygiene.
